Hi, I’m Holly – founder of Lumiox, singer by trade, mortgage advisor by career, and now a woman on a mission to help others heal.
For most of my life, I lived with unexplained pain, fatigue, and mental health struggles. Doctors told me it was “all in my head,” and I was given the wrong medications more times than I can count. It was frustrating, lonely, and exhausting — and for years, I just pushed through.
In my early thirties, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Suddenly, so much of my past made sense — the constant sense of being overwhelmed, the mental burnout, the way I was always fighting to keep up while running on empty. That diagnosis gave me a new perspective, but my health challenges were still on-going.
Finally, in my mid-thirties, after years of being dismissed, I received the diagnoses of lupus and fibromyalgia. It was a turning point — painful and frightening, but also a relief to finally have an answer.
I decided to change everything. I left my career in finance, invested my life savings, and put my whole heart into creating something I wish I’d had years ago: a space for science-backed wellness, recovery, and community.
That’s how Lumiox was born.
At our clinic in Bakewell, Derbyshire, we offer treatments including infrared saunas, cold water therapy, red light therapy and hyperbaric oxygen.
These aren’t passing fads — they’re approaches backed by research, and they’re helping me (and others) manage inflammation, reduce pain and regain energy. Alongside NHS care, these therapies have given me a sense of control over my body again.
But Lumiox isn’t just about technology and treatments. It’s also a community hub: a place where people can attend talks, workshops and coaching sessions led by nurses and health professionals.

I want people to know: you’re not “making it up.” You’re not lazy. And you’re definitely not alone. Pushing for answers and finding the right support is worth it.
I never imagined I’d go from singing gigs all over the world and loving London life, to building a wellness clinic back at my place of birth… the beautiful Peak District.
But this is the path my health has pushed me into — and I’m determined to turn my struggles into something positive, not just for me, but for anyone who walks through our doors.
